Technology has made many things easier for us. However, it has also increased the waste produced by humans. These wastes are threats to our planet and unless we do something to at least minimize them, the Earth is in danger. I recently bumped into a website that seems to have this goal in of minimizing wastes; particularly on books, DVDs and games. SwitchPlanet.com is a website that aims to minimize the impact of wastes to save or planet. The website offers its members the opportunity to get the things that they want in exchange for something that they no longer like and will soon throw away. This is basically a trader between members.

I’m really impressed with this new concept. Not only that it is unique, but its intentions are also good. The use of this does service require membership but not more than that. It’s absolutely free! However, if you think that their service is great, you have an option to donate some money which will go to charitable institutions.

SwitchPlanet.com aims to facilitate trades among its members to try minimize wastes and save the planet and at the same time facilitates in gathering funds for charitable institutions; all for free. SwitchPlanet.com is truly a great site with a noble cause.
